Hailing from North Carolina’s Research Triangle, Laura studies Political Science with a Certificate in Spanish. She has spent much of the past three years in the Yale Daily News building as both the City Desk Editor and a staff reporter covering Yale-New Haven Relations & Latino Communities in New Haven. She also serves as a loyal member of the Branford Buttery workforce and as a Writing Partner at the Poorvu Writing Center, in addition to volunteering alongside the Quinnipiac University School of Law’s Human Trafficking Prevention Project. When she’s not missing Southern iced tea, Laura enjoys hiking, listening to ’90s rock and old Shakira, and going down Wikipedia rabbit holes.
