Room Reservations

To reserve a space in Branford College, please visit Yale’s 25Live website. Please note that all reservations must be made by a Branford student. Rooms available there are: Small dining room, Mendell Room, Trumbull Room, Common Room, Dance Studio, TV Room, Practice Room, or the Student Kitchen.

To reserve the Branford/Saybrook room, please email branford.aides@yale.edu with the following information:

  • Name
  • Group Name
  • Contact Number
  • Date and time of reservation
  • Reason for reservation
  • Number of estimated attendees

Please note that there is no alcohol allowed during any reservation regardless of location.

If you have a weekend reservation in a room that requires a key, please pick up that key in the Head of College office on that Friday before 4pm. All keys must be returned by 5pm the next business day after a reservation (we ask that you please return the key same day where possible). Please do not hand off a key to a reserved room to anyone other than an aide or staff member in the HOC office. Students who do not return their keys in a timely manner are subject to a $20 fine.

Please be aware that the person reserving the room will be held responsible for any violations of Undergraduate or Branford policies or damage to a space.

Reservation Rules:

  • All reservation requests must be submitted to Branford Aides <ba232@yale.edu
    • Branford Aides will require meeting contacts to complete a room reservation form [see below].
  • Recurring meetings will not be allowed, unless for a class or other academic use.
  • Reservations may not be made more than 2 weeks before the meeting date.
  • Reservations can be cancelled at the discretion of the Branford Head of College and/or Dean’s Office.  The meeting contact person will be contacted regarding cancellation.
  • Reservations will not be accepted beginning two weeks before Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break and throughout each break.  Spaces will not be available for group meetings during reading period in each semester.
  • Person(s) making the reservation must be present for the entire duration of the activity.
  • Alcohol is be permitted at any event regardless of the age of the participants.

Reservation Rules for the Branford Lower Dining Room:

  • All reservation requests must be approved by the Branford College Dining Hall General Manager and Branford Head of College.
  • Recurring meetings are only allowed on a monthly basis.  Daily and weekly meetings are not allowed, unless an exception is made by the Branford College Dining Hall General Manager and Branford Head of College (e.g. FroCos and PLs)
  • Reservations may not be made more than 2 weeks before the meeting date.
  • Meetings cannot exceed one hour in length.
  • Meeting size must not exceed room capacity.
  • Branford First Year Counselors (FROCOS), Peer Liaisons (PLs) and academic meetings hold priority.
  • Reservations can be cancelled at the discretion of the Branford Head of College and/or Dean’s Office and/or Dining Hall.  Meeting contact person will be contacted regarding cancellation.
  • Person(s) making the reservation must be present for the entire duration of the activity.
