First Year Move In
Class of 2030 will move in on Sunday, August 23rd. First years should select their arrival time in the Housing Portal (between 9am-1:00pm). You will be asked to choose a timeslot for your arrival and unloading of your car (don’t worry, we’ll have a team of fellow Branfordians ready to help unload!) Your family will then need to find a parking space in the area once the car is unloaded.
First-year Branfordians live in Lawrance Hall. Upon arrival on move in day, you will pull up to Phelps Gate to unload your car before moving to parking for the day at a nearby garage. When you arrive to Lawrance Hall, student move in helpers will begin unloading your car, and you’ll proceed to our check in table to pick up your room key and Yale student ID. Upper Level Move In
Members of the Classes of 2027, 2028, and 2029 will be able to move in between Sunday, August 30th and Monday, August 31st. The online housing portal will open in early August for students to select their move in date. You will be asked to let us know which timeframe you plan to arrive during: 9am-5pm, 5pm-11pm, or 11pm-9am overnight. Please note that the overnight option should only be selected if you absolutely must arrive outside of the other hours as services will be limited, and arrangements will need to be made with the Head of College Office.
We will send out information in August about where to pick up your room key depending on your arrival time.
