Dr. Shapiro is Associate Chair of the Department of Pediatrics, co-Director of Education for the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation, Director of Yale’s KL-2 Mentored Clinical Scholar Program and Deputy Director of Yale’s Ph.D. Program in Investigative Medicine. He is a clinical epidemiologist and specialist in both Pediatric Infectious Diseases and General Pediatrics and has special research interests in the effectiveness of vaccines and in Lyme Disease.
